What is Artesunate?

Artesunate Tablets is used in the treatment of malaria.  It belongs to a group of medicines known as antimalarial. Artesunate is an antimalarial drug that prevents the plasmodium parasite from growing in human red blood cells. Artesunate treats malaria brought on by the parasite “Plasmodium falciparum,” as well as other plasmodium types. By creating toxic compounds inside the malarial parasite, it kills the parasites.
